Fly twin-engine airplanes and move one step forward

The Multi-engine Rating ME(A) is a very important step in your training towards your CPL or ATPL license. Also, if you are a PPL and intend to fly only for fun, flying a twin-engined airplane will be the achievement of your life, sharpening your skills and at the same time allowing you to reach farther ground and fly higher than ever.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Learning to fly advanced, twin-engine complex aircraft like the Tecnam P2006T or the Piper PA-27 Aztec will give you first-hand experience in multi-engine specific procedures and operations, like takeoff V-speeds, asymmetric flight and so on, which will prove essential for your career.

The MEP (multi-engine piston) class rating holders are entitled to fly acting as PIC (Pilot-In-Command) in any piston, single-pilot certified, multi-engined airplane.

COURSE STRUCTURE

The course is composed of 7 hours of ground training and briefings.

  • Fuel, antifreeze and de-icing system
  • Hydraulic system. Undercarriage
  • Flight Controls. Electric system
  • Instrumentation and Cabin
  • Emergency equipment. Pneumatic system
  • General Limitations
  • Engine and system limitations
  • Performances
  • Flight Planning. C and GC. Catering
  • Emergency procedures

The course is composed of a minimum of 6 hours of flight training.

DURATION

The approximate duration of the course is 2 weeks, allowing the student to complete the ground school and flight training simultaneously.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must comply with the following:

  • Student must hold a PPL(A) or CPL(A)
  • Medical certificate Class II
  • 70 hours as PIC (Pilot-In-Command)
