The objectives of the Multi-Pilot Cooperation (MCC) training portion of this course(s) are to develop the technical and non-technical components of the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to operate an multi-pilot airplane.

The MCC.APS training portion of this course includes advanced swept-wing or swept-wing training and airline operational training (AOT) to provide a pilot with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to start the initial type qualification to the standards required by an Air Transport operator Commercial (CAT) certified in accordance with regulation (EU) no 956/2012

The structure of the course consists of a Theoretical Phase and a Synthetic Flight Phase

In accordance with AMC1 FCL.735.A, MCC theoretical knowledge instruction consists of 25 hours of theoretical knowledge, exercises and 1 additional hour to evaluate the student’s progress. Alternatively, from according to AMC2 FCL.735A, GM1 FCL.735A, GM2 FCL.735 (e), MCC.APS theoretical knowledge instruction comprises a minimum of 30 hours (25 MCC hours + 5 AOT hours) of theoretical knowledge exercises and instruction and 2 additional hours to evaluate student progress (MCC TKI PC + MCC.APS TKI PC). The students complete the following theoretical knowledge instruction (TKI) lessons FCL930.MCCI requires simulator training and training to be at least 3 hours.

This training would include the MCC-I Proficiency Assessment. As provided above, students will be trained in SFT acting as instructors and being supervised by a TRI during the SFT sessions of students in MCC and / or MCC.APS training and as cited in the MCC and MCC.APS manual of this same ATO school. See manual MCC and MCC.APS part 3 and 3.1 of the same to see in detail the Lesson Plans that this student-instructor must follow as appropriate. Since students in an MCC or APS MCC training course will have sessions of at least 4 hours SFT with 1 hour of pre-briefing and 1 hour more of post-briefing, it will be appropriate that the student-instructors in MCC-I training have to instruct the full session of these students, for which the student instructors would receive two sessions of 4 hours each of SFT plus 4 full hours of supervised Post- and Prebriefing’s. In the event that at the time of SFT instruction an MCC course is not underway, “dummy” students from the simulator will be used to be instructed by the student-instructors. The aforementioned “fictitious” students will preferably be students of the school.

The theoretical and flight training courses MCC and MCC.APS will be completed within a period of 6 months.
